Johannesburg: India made a splendid rebound to beat South Africa by 63 keeps running in the third and last Test at Johannesburg on Saturday.
Captain Virat Kohli described Saturday’s 63-run win over South Africa in the third and final Test at the Wanderers as “a massive milestone” for Indian cricket.

“This is one of our sweetest wins,” he said. “This day will be remembered for a long time for us as a team,“ Kohli said India’s performance on a pitch designed to help South Africa’s fast bowlers showed they could win in any conditions. “We already had the belief but now we have the result to back that as well.”
Mohammed Shami was the star bowler for the meeting side as he went through South Africa’s batsmen in the second session. He finished the second innings with figures of 5/28. Requiring 241 keeps running for a win, South Africa were hard and fast for 177 keeps running on the fourth day of the Test.
Senior member Elgar was the solitary warrior for his side as the Proteas batsmen fell like a pack of cards in the session post tea. With this win, India lost the arrangement 1-2 after the hosts had wrapped up the arrangement before winning the past two Tests.
The hosts were cruising towards triumph yet the post-tea session worked ponders for India. From 124/2 to 177/10, South Africa collapsed like a deck of cards.
